Challenges
One of the main challenges was creating an interface that felt engaging but remained simple and easy to use. I also had to find an intuitive way for users to explore different holidays without making the experience feel cluttered. Making the design visually appealing and accessible was a key priority throughout the process.
Research & Inspiration
I looked at existing calendar and event apps to understand how they present information and engage users. I explored different UI patterns for holiday and event tracking, focusing on how to make the experience both fun and user-friendly. Accessibility and playful design elements were central to my inspiration.
Accessibility Considerations
To support accessibility, I used high color contrast for better readability, clear and legible typography, and generous spacing. I also focused on creating intuitive navigation so users of all abilities could easily interact with the app.
Next Steps & Learnings
This project taught me how to balance fun, visual design, with usability and accessibility. Moving forward, I plan to test the app with users to gather feedback, refine the UI and animations, and build an interactive prototype.
